We hosted Dundee Thursday night and came away with our 2nd straight win by a score of 102-78. We won 7 events on the night, but our depth was what really shined as we were able to pull away from Dundee. The Medley Relay was our first win, as Alec Markham, Cam Garcia, Tadas Zukovskis, and Koleton Tolfree took the win. The relay of Ryan Johnson, Cory Tumusiime, Owen Stripp and Reed Neuvirth took 4th in a nice swim. The 200 was another win, as Cam Garcia came right out of the medley to take the win. Ian Satterley, Cedric Tumusiime, and Dylan Penzien all had great swims to score points for the Big Reds. Markham was runner up in the 200 IM in his lifetime best. In the 50 Free. Andrew Hornicak, Cory Tumusiime, Reed Neuvirth, Hank Bobicz, and Ethan Rice all swam well. In the scoring heat, Owen Stripp was 7th, Tolfree 4th, Jameson McShane 3rd, and Nichols 2nd as we outscored Dundee and kept inching away. In diving, Luke Keel was 3rd and Jonathon Ringbloom 4th. The 100 Fly saw Zukovskis and McShane go 1,2 to score big points for Milan. The 100 Free saw great swims by Rice, Hornicak, Bilyk and Ryan Johnson. Scoring for Milan were Tolfree in 4th, Cameron Garcia in 2nd and Nichols took the win. In the 500, Penzien was 4th, Cedric Tumusiime 3rd and Satterley 2nd. With the 2,3,4 finish we once again outscored Dundee. The 200 Free Relay was another win, as McShane, Cameron Garcia, Nichols and Zukovskis won, while Bilyk, Bobicz, Neuvirth and Satterley were 4th. In the 100 back, Markham had another lifetime best to finish in 2nd, while Ryan Johnson was 3rd, and Owen Stripp took 4th. The 100 Breast was great, as Bilyk swam the race for the first time and shined. Bobicz was 5th, Cory Tumussime was 4th, and Zukovskis won the event in a lifetime best. The final event was the 400 Free Relay. The B Relay of Cedric Tumusiime, Satterley, Johnson and Stripp took 3rd, and the A relay of Tolfree, Nichols, McShane and Markham finished 1st. We had a good meet, and it was nice to win 2 in a row after our Tuesday win against Detroit Country Day. The boys continue to work hard and we will continue to get after it as we lead into our final home dual meet next Thursday against Tecumseh. That meet will serve as our Senior Night.
